Dear Max,
The SIP 2.2.2 patch release is now available. This release is applicable to all SoundPoint IP family products except SoundPoint IP 300 and 500 models.
This release contains changes to address field issues and the following additional capabilities:
- Support for the new SoundPoint IP 560 desktop phone
- Support for the new SoundPoint IP Backlit Expansion Module
- Ability to configure the contact directory for read-only access
Note: The Release Notes should be carefully reviewed before deploying this release.

The customer documentation for the SoundPoint IP 560 is available from the Polycom Support web site. This includes a Quick Start Guide, Quick User Guide, User Guide, and an updated Administrator’s Guide. The Quick Start Guide and Quick User Guide are also available in the standard languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish (International), Portuguese (CALA), Korean, and Chinese (Simplified).
The Sample Applications package is now available from the Polycom Resource Center. The package includes the executables with an installer, documentation to set up and use the applications, and the source code. The package allows users to view stock ticker, weather, news feeds, and a thought of the day message using the phone’s embedded Microbrowser capabilities. These applications provide developers with a sample of how to develop and deploy applications using the Polycom Microbrowser. These sample applications are supported on SoundPoint IP 330/320, 430, 501, 550, 600, 601, and 650 desktop phones and SoundStation IP 4000 conference phone running SIP 2.2 or later.

SoundPoint® IP Family - TB 38447 -Notice of Product Shipping Configuration Change This technical bulletin describes changes to the shipping configurations for all currently supported SoundPoint IP and SoundStation IP phones. These changes are expected to take effect in January 2008.
